Rise run feed ripen wound wither fall rise again

Here's a rare treat for you fucks ... a live Neurosis video from 1992, from the "Souls at Zero" era. In my opinion, its when the band was at their peak. Live in Italy, an amazing set. That's all.

This mother is about 400 mb, so be prepared to download this shit for a while. Cheers to scootopsy for this.

You one-eyed platypus

Upon recently re-watching a movie that had a strange effect on me as a child, I felt compelled to post the main theme for Beware! The Blob here. Shit, I had no fuckin' choice. Not only is it moog, but its fuckin' Mort Garson. Not only is it a 70's classic, but it was directed by fuckin' Larry Hagman. Not only was he on I Dream Of Jeanie, but he was clearly stoned when he made this. There's some really strange moments in the film that make the viewer feel kinda awkward for viewing them - the scene with the gay barber and the hippie who pays him $400 to cut off his long hair ... the fat bald Russian who takes a bubble bath with his shitsu, only to smash his window out with a telephone and run down the street naked when attacked by the Blob ... Larry Hagman and Burgess Meredith playing drunk bums that can't stand hippies. I don't know what that means to you, but its fuckin' magical to me, you douche. If anyone could hook me up with the entire goddamn soundtrack, that would be even more magical.

Speaking of magical, I could also use the soundtrack to "War of the Robots" from Marcello Giombini, the genius behind the Antropophagus soundtrack.

Get out of my head

Serious question ... is Laibach a homosexual group? I used to wonder about that when I got the Opus Dei album some years back. I just watched the video for "Geburt Einer Nation" or whatever the fuck its called, and I'm wondering all over again. Especially when the singer, whom looks like a very Slavic individual with a big fuckin' moustache and an Ethiopian diet, is topless. What the fuck was he thinking?

Anyway, its a soundtrack free post today. Hell knows why, I just felt like enlightening the masses with a little rare disco. I know absolutely nothing about this release, the Black Star 12", except for the fact that its Canadian. Three tracks here, all pretty much the same song. Whatever. Disco is good when no one sings.

It sounded like he was doing himself

Unhinged is another movie about some dumb broads that get stranded somewhere, only to be hunted down one by one. Its predictable, its cheesy, but its still a filthy watch. Perhaps its this touching synth soundtrack that gets under your skin, I dunno. The mother fucker does the job for me. 20 goddamn songs.

Anyone wanna massage my head with a brick? I've got a bit of a headache.

Dog soup bowl

Another music-less post. Anyone remember this creep? By the time I actually ordered a zine from him, I got a reply stating "Sorry, but we are out of business." I hear he used to show up to interview bands in a big yellow raincoat. Anyone know anything?

Now that I found you

There's so much anger in the world today. I see it everytime I leave my house. There's so much hostility floating around in the air, its as if it were a living, breathing thing. I have decided to take a stand against all the anger and hatred in the world. How might I do that, you ask? I will tell you. With this song. Its a very nice song that will make everyone in the world stop and love each other, if they just stop and listen.

The track in question is from a wonderful movie called Ator The Fighting Eagle. One would say Ator is a Conan rip-off. I think its an improvement. Conan was a very savage barbarian, cutting off heads and hacking everyone to bits. So much anger! Ator is a kinder, gentler barbarian. He's the kinda guy that would rather punch someone in the head instead of cutting them open with his sword. He's the kinda guy that's got a wife. He's the kinda guy that's followed around by his pet bear cub. Now that's love.
